Ultra high bond tape for the most demanding requirements
Marathon Acrylic tape is a foamed acrylic double sided tape for an ultra high performance level. Similar to 3M VHB tapes, this is a high quality alternative from the Guarantape Extreme range of tapes, at the highest adhesive level 7. You can use it in demanding situations like metal-to-metal sign making and manufacturing situations.
Choose from a variety of widths all supplied in 33m roll lengths with a tape thickness of 1.2mm. Available in grey or white foam depending on application needs. There is no adhesive difference in the colours, it is just preference for different display situations.
Acrylic adhesives have a long term bond build up for several hours after application. This means that the initial ‘grab’ adhesion is not as high as a tape with hot melt rubber adhesive, such as interior foam tapes. However, once applied with pressure over several hours, VHB tapes like Marathon will form a very strong permanent and long-lasting bond. The curing process will take place for 24 hours after application for the bond to reach full strength.
Additionally, Marathon provides increased durability and strength compared to traditional high density foam VHB tapes. As a result, it offers improved performance in various applications. If you’d like to see it in action simply ask for a free sample and test this on your project.

This tape is a great alternative to the 3M GPH110 or the 3M RP45 gray VHB tapes.
