What does 6 on 12 double sided tape mean?

Posted by Euan Davies on

Q: What does '6 on 12mm' mean on double sided tape?

A: This is 'fingerlift' double sided tape, meaning simply that the adhesive tape width is 6mm and the backing paper is 12mm, making it easier for you to simply peel off the backing paper instead of breaking fingernails! Standard double sided tape is called 'flush edge', so a 6mm adhesive tape would have a 6mm backing paper.

Fingerlift tape is not much more expensive and is far easier to work with. We stock it in many different widths and adhesion levels, view the range here.
